Vector vortex beams which possess complex intensity and polarisation patterns, phase or singularities are important in a variety of applications ranging from high resolution imaging data transmission to nonlinear optics quantum technologies. Here, we theoretically analyse the effect vector propagation through strongly anisotropic metamaterials exhibiting epsilon-near-zero behaviour. The interaction metamaterial with longitudinal field results strong modification distribution, acting as an azimuthal polariser. dependence on local ellipticity is also investigated revealing conversion spin angular momentum orbital structure vorticity, mediated by field. show promise platform for manipulation properties spin-orbit coupling beams.

We study theoretically and verify experimentally the detailed dynamics of spin-to-orbital angular momentum conversion for a circularly polarized Gaussian beam propagating along the optical axis of a uniaxial crystal.
